How To Make Bunny Rabbit Finger Puppets
If you’ve never used a pom pom maker before you are going to love how easily and quickly you and the kids can whip up a whole pile of pom poms. Pom pom makers come in all sorts of sizes and for these finger puppets we used the small one from this Small Clover Set.
To make your bunny rabbit finger puppets you need to wrap your yarn around the pom pom maker and snip through the loops in the normal way. Usually you would tie the pom pom off using yarn but on this occasion we’re going to do it a bit differently and use a short pipe cleaner instead.
Cut your pipe cleaners to a 6inch / 150mm length. Wrap the pipe cleaner round as you would yarn and leaving one end long twist the short end to tighten it as much as you can. Snip off any excess pipe cleaner from the short end so you are left with a pom pom on the end of a long piece of pipe cleaner a bit like a little tree.
Use your felt to cut out some bunny rabbit ears any shape, size or colour you like.
Then simply glue the rabbit’s ears, googly eyes and mini pom pom nose and bobtail into place. We love using UHU Glue because it dries so quickly.
Lastly to finish off your bunny rabbit finger puppets you’ll need to curl the long piece of pipe cleaner around your finger like a spring.
Now your little bunnies are ready hop skip and jump about on the end of your fingers!
