This apple craft is easy to make with the printable template. And all the pieces are nice and chunky for little hands.
The template comes in full colour and black and white. The B/W version can either be coloured in, traced around or printed straight on to coloured paper or card. There also an individual use pack and a classroom pack, to use depending on if you are crafting with one child or a whole class.
We think this apple basket craft is lots of fun for apple season, food study units, or A is for apple alphabet recognition.

2 – Carefully cut out all the template pieces and glue a short piece of basket onto the middle, bottom of your backing sheet.
3 – Glue a short piece of basket onto either end of the basket base. Fan them outwards slightly.
4 – Glue the last two short pieces of basket onto the middle of the basket base. Only glue them at their bottoms. Their tops need to be loose.
5 – Fold the ends of the long basket piece along the dotted lines. Apply some glue to both folded over tabs.
6 – Apply some glue to the top of the two loose middle basket pieces.
7 – Glue the tabs of the long basket piece onto the the two sides to make an arched basket top.
8 – Push the glued tops of the middle basket pieces on to the back of the arch.
9 – Glue the stalks and leaves onto the apples.
10 – Put the apples into the basket.
