How To Make I-Spy Button Binoculars
I spy with my little eye, something beginning with B…BUTTON BINOCULARS!
This binoculars craft is really easy to make and to personalise. Kids will love looking for things to spot when they’re out and about on walks and journeys. It’s a fun way to focus children’s attention and observation skills.
Supplies For Your Button Binoculars Craft
- 2 Cardboard Tubes
- Tissue Paper
- Feather Ribbon and Ric Rac Ribbon
- Buttons
- Hole Punch
- Glue
How To Make Binoculars Craft
Cover your tissue paper in glue and wrap it around the cardboard tubes. Snip the ends and glue them flat onto the inside.
Glue the two cardboard tubes together securely.
Punch a hole on each side and attach your ribbon to make a neck loop. I couldn’t resist the hot pink feather trim and Zig Zag Blue Ribbon! Why shouldn’t a binoculars craft be glamorous and fun?
Finish off your homemade binoculars by glueing on lots of colourful buttons. I love these little wooden flower buttons and selection of blue buttons in a range of sizes. They are just perfect for kids to mix and match. (For speed I used a glue gun.)
What will your little ones like to spot through their button binoculars craft? Perhaps they’re a train lover or avid bird spotter? If you’re using your homemade binoculars on a journey don’t forget to print out your travel games for even more fun!
