We loved our Christmas lights reindeer cards so much that we decided to make a 3D version too. With all the Christmas lights on their antlers, this easy CARDBOARD TUBE REINDEER CRAFT is just as colourful and just as fun. We simply love them!
These sweet paper roll reindeer have adorable jingle bells, bright red noses and lit up antlers. Can you get any cuter?
Pop them on the mantlepiece, use them as a table centre piece or add a string to turn them into reindeer ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree.
Wherever you put them, I’m sure everyone will agree this is a super cute reindeer Christmas craft for kids.
I always like it when we can bring a nature element or a recycled component into our crafting and this cute reindeer craft has them both!
Made from recycled cardboard tubes with natural twig antlers these TP roll reindeer are ticking all my boxes!
These paper roll reindeer can be made with any cardboard tubes you have, whatever their size. We used toilet roll middles, but kitchen rolls or poster tubes etc would work just as well too.
If you don’t have any cardboard tubes to recycle then don’t worry, you could always make your paper tubes from ordinary rolled up cardstock instead or even buy them.
Reindeer Cardboard Tube Craft
TP Roll Reindeer Supplies:
- Cardboard Tubes
- Brown Paper (we used this multicultural set)
- Eye Stickers
- Mini Pom Poms
- Jingle Bells
- Thin Red Ribbon
- Twigs
- Scissors
- Glue
- Sticky Tape
How To Make Reindeer Out Of Toilet Paper Rolls
1 – Wrap your cardboard tube in brown paper. Snip into any protruding ends and tuck them into the inside of the tube. (You could paint your tube if you prefer.)
2 – Find some little twigs with branched sections to make your reindeer antlers. Sticky tape two of them into the inside of the cardboard tube so that they poke out of the top.
3 – Give your cardboard tube reindeer a happy face by adding eye stickers, a red pom pom nose and a smile.
4 – Decorate your reindeer’s antlers with little pom poms to look like Christmas lights.
5 – Cut a length of thin red ribbon long enough to tie around the TP roll. Thread on two jingle bells and tie them into the middle.
6 – Wrap the bell ribbon around the reindeer’s neck and tie or sticky tape them into place at the back.
Now your cardboard tube reindeer craft is ready to go on display. You can sit them on a shelf or table top or even add a looped thread at the top to turn them into reindeer ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree.
