These cute, fluffy paper plate lamb and sheep masks are really easy to make and something children of all ages will love to have in their dressing up box. I really like that they sit on the forehead as some little ones don’t like wearing full face masks and it makes it much easier for glasses wearers too.
Springtime is such a wonderful season for getting children interested in animals and nature as there’s so much going on. The snowdrops and daffodils are beginning to poke through, the buds are appearing on the trees and the fields are home to frolicking lambs.

How To Make Paper Plate Lamb and Sheep Masks
Supplies For Spring Mask Masking

- 1 large paper plate for each mask
- glue stick
- cotton balls
- brown paint (for adult sheep only)
- elastic
- stapler
- black and grey felt pens
- pencil
- eraser
- scissors
How To Make A Paper Plate Lamb Mask
Stage 1
Draw a faint pencil line to divide your plate in half and follow the picture above to draw on your nose shape in the middle. Cut it out and use felt tips to draw on the nose features.
Stage 2
Cut your remaining piece of plate of plate in half then cut off the ridged plate border.
Stage 3
Trim 1 end of each of the ridged sections to make horns (for the adult sheep only). Trim the remaining 2 pieces to make ears using the picture above as a guide.
Stage 4
Staple the ears and horns, if you are using them, into place.
Stage 5
Paint the horns brown, felt tip the ear features and glue on the cotton wool. ( For a variation you could use quilled paper or wool instead of cotton wool.)
Attach the elastic with tape or by making a small hole next to each ear and threading it through and tying it.
Stage 6
Wear your mask and enjoy bouncing about like a little lamb!
