This Pop Up Bunny craft is so much fun! The little bunny rabbits sit in their own grassy field and when you push them down, they pop right back up! They’re very bouncy bunnies indeed!
This is such a cute bunny craft for spring, Easter or any time of year if you’re a rabbit fan!
These pop up bunny rabbits are really easy to make with the printable template. The bunny template can be used in different ways to suit your needs. You can either colour it in, trace it onto coloured card or print it onto coloured card. Then you simply cut out the pieces and follow the instructions to put it together.
You’ll see in the photos that we’ve added googly eyes and a pom pom tail and nose to our pop up bunny crafts but paper versions are included in the template to use if your prefer.
We’ve got lots of other Easter and Spring crafts you can team up with these pop-up rabbits. We particularly love Bunny Puppets, Hatching Chicks and Paper Plate Lamb Wreaths.

How To Make Pop Up Easter Bunnies
1 – Cut out all the template pieces. Glue the 4 inner spring pieces together in pairs to make 2 long strips.
2 – Glue two spring ends together at right angles.
3 – Fold the bottom length over the top length. The top length is now at the bottom, so fold it over the top. Keep repeating to use up all the length. Glue the ends to stop it unfolding.
4 – Glue the spring in the middle of one end of the body piece. Apply glue to the top of the spring and to the other end of the body piece.
5 – Roll the body piece up over the top of the spring and glue it underneath to make a tube with the spring inside. Then push gently down on the top of the tube so it sticks to the glue on the top of the spring.
6 – Roll the head piece into a tube and glue the ends together.
7 – Glue the inner ears onto the outer ears. Fold the flat ends over and glue them to the top of the head. Glue on the eyes and nose. Draw a smile and whiskers.
8 – Glue the head onto the rabbit’s body and glue on a tail.
9 – Fold the grass edges along the dotted line and snip all along the edges to make grass. (We used herb scissors to make it quicker.)
10 – Sit your bunny on the grass. Put your finger inside the head and gently push down on the spring. Let go and watch it bounce back up!
Now your pop up bunny craft is ready to hop, skip and jump into action. Have fun!
