These bat headbands are a great Halloween craft for kids or if you are studying bats or nocturnal animals at any time of year.
The bat hats are really easy to make with the printable templates and they’re easy to adjust to fit different head sizes from little kids to grown ups.
The printable bat hat template comes in B/W to either colour in or trace around and also full colour. The full colour version comes with a choice of 6 different colours.
The eyes, smile and bat fangs are all glued on so kids can stick them in different positions to make each bat hat craft have an unique expression. So fun!

Printable Bat Hat Craft Tutorial
Supplies To Make Bat Hats
- Printable Bat Hat Template
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Stapler
- Glue
How To Make Bat Hats
1 – Download and print the bat hat craft templates.
2 – Carefully cut out the bat hat template pieces.
3 – Keep the bat’s fangs, mouth and eyes aside and trace around the 4 large pieces onto your cardstock. (If you are colouring in your template or using the ready coloured ones then skip this step.)
4 – Cut out the pieces and glue the bat’s eyes, mouth and fangs onto the head.
5 – Staple the the long strip onto the sides of the bat’s head to make a loop to sit on your head. Measure it around your head to get the right size before stapling.
6 – Finish off your bat hat craft by stapling on the bat’s wings.
