These little houses can also make a magical display at Christmas time too. You can decorate them with a holiday theme and then place led tea lights inside of the house to make them glow! It’s a great way to make your own Christmas village!
How to Make and Decorate 3D Paper Houses
Craft Supplies:
- Free Printable Paper House Templates (Get yours at the bottom of this post.)
- White Cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue
- Coloring Materials e.g. coloring pens, pencils, acrylic paints, glitter, poms poms…anything goes!
- Optional: Craft Knife and Cutting Mat
Build Paper Houses Step-By-Step Instructions
- Simply print the pdf templates and decorate the front of the house. You can have fun coloring your own house in lots of different ways.
- Cut out the template and fold along the fold lines and dotted lines. (You can score lines with a craft knife if you prefer but we didn’t bother.)
- Fold the walls of the house together to make a square, apply glue to the side tab to hold it together.
- Now add glue to the tabs on the roof pieces and fold them together to close the top.
- Finally glue the chimney onto the roof of the house.
