A Spider Craft That Really Rocks!
This interactive rocking spider craft is so much fun to make and play with!

Kids can give their spiders a tap and watch them wobble and sway from side to side. It’s such a fun spider craft for kids that combines lots of creativity with play.

The finished rocking spiders are bursting with character. With spiky hair, zig-zag legs, cute fangs, and big smiles, they’re anything but scary!
The friendly nature of this paper spider craft makes it a fun option for little kids at Halloween and for young spider fans all year round.
Printable Spider Craft Template
The rocking paper spider template comes in two versions: black and white for kids to colour and personalise, and pre-coloured with nine different rainbow colours to choose from.

As it’s nearly October and we’re coming up to Halloween, my photos feature classic orange, purple and black Halloween spiders. However, kids can mix and match the coloured template pieces however they like, giving endless possibilities for their own paper spiders.

Each printable spider craft template also includes four pairs of different sized eyes so children can mix and match to create their own adorable spider craft idea.

The result is a set of cheerful, wibbly spiders that look great on display and are even better to play with!
A Printable Spider Activity Packed With Benefits
This spider craft printable is lots of fun and also educational. Colouring, cutting, and sticking helps build fine motor skills and scissor skills, making it a great craft for both younger kids and older kids alike.

This easy spider activity is a great way to enjoy hands-on learning while creating something children can actually enjoy some pretend play with afterward.
The end result is always full of lots of personality and guaranteed to bring smiles and giggles.

- Printer Cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue
- Marker Pen
- Optional: Colouring Materials
Step-by-Step Directions

Step 1 – First, download and print and cut out the ROCKING SPIDER CRAFT TEMPLATE (also available from my TPT store). (If you’re using the black-and-white template, colour it before cutting.)

Step 2 – Next, fold the round rocker in half.

Step 3 – Then, line the rocker up with the back of the spider’s head and glue it on.

Step 4 – Glue the spider’s legs on to the back of the spider’s body. Make sure they are positioned high up or the spider won’t be able to rock.

Step 5 – Glue on the spider’s eyes and draw a happy smile.

Step 6 – Fold over the tabs on the spider’s fangs and glue them onto the edge of the smile.

Step 7 – Finally, fold the tabs on the fixing strip and attach it to the inside of the rocker. (It stops the rocker from opening out flat.)

Step 8 – Now you can have great fun gently tapping the spider legs to see your hairy arachnid friend rock from side to side! Perfect for some Halloween fun.
