How To Make Strawberry Paper Bag Puppets
1 – To make your strawberry paper bag puppet first you need to make your red paper bag look like the flesh of a ripe strawberry covered in seeds. We drew our seeds on with a black Sharpie. If you prefer your could glue on black pom poms, buttons, coffee beans etc instead if you prefer.
2 – Turn the paper bag upside down and flatten it out so it’s at its widest. Then cut off the two bottom corners to make the strawberry shape.
3 – Draw around your hands onto green cardstock. Cut them out to make the strawberry leaves. Also cut a green rectangle for the strawberry stalk.
4 – Use your 1 inch hole puncher to make white eyes and pink cheeks for your strawberry and glue them on. Then draw on black pupils and a smile with your marker pen.
5 – Open up the folded bottom of the paper bag (now at the top) and glue the stalk and leaves into the middle and then sandwich it shut again.
6 – Pop your hand into the strawberry paper bag puppet to bring it to life!
These strawberry puppets are so easy to make and kids will love playing with them. Be sure to share your photos of your finished puppets with me on social media. I can’t wait to see them!
