How to Make A Pretty Sunflower Hat
Our Sunflower Crown Craft For kids is a fun way to celebrate this beautiful flower and a great activity for both young children and older children.
With its 3D design and smiling face, this easy sunflower craft is sure to bring lots of fun to your home or classroom!
List of Supplies:
- PRINTABLE SUNFLOWER TEMPLATE (The PDF file s also available from my TPT store.)
- White Paper or Cardstock
- Glue Stick
- Scissors
- Stapler
- Optional: Colouring Materials
Sunflower Headband Craft Instructions
Step 1 – Download, print and cut out the SUNFLOWER HAT TEMPLATE (Also available from my TPT store.) If you are using the black and white template, colour it in before cutting it out.)
Step 2 – Glue the green stem onto the middle of the hat front.
Step 3 – Next, apply a dab of glue above the stem and stick the sunflower on. (Do not apply any glue to the back of the petals.)
Step 4 – Bend the petals of the flower forward a little to give a 3D effect.
Step 5 – Glue one end of each leaf to the sunflower’s stem. Then, bend the rest of the leaf forward.
Step 6 – Fold the stand along the dotted lines. (It will look a bit like a little table with two tabs.)
Step 7 – Glue the top of the stand onto the back of the sunflower’s face. Then glue the tabs onto the middle of the big sunflower middle.
Step 8 – Lastly, staple the back of the hat onto the front of the hat to make a wearable loop. Use the extension band if you need a bigger loop.
Now kids of all ages can enjoy wearing their very own cut and paste sunflower hat. It’s such a cute sunflower craft, everyone will love!
