How to Make a Rainbow Out of Coloured Paper
– Download and print the free printable rainbow template. (Get yours at the bottom of this page.)
– Trace the rainbow pieces onto coloured paper and carefully cut them out.
– Roll and glue the coloured rectangles into little tubes.
– With your blue backing sheet placed horizontally (landscape) glue the two clouds onto the bottom of the page.
– Decide which order you want your coloured tubes to go in and then glue the middle colour at the top of the page, in the middle. Then glue the first coloured tube above the left cloud, and the last paper tube above the right cloud.
– Now you can distribute the other paper tubes evenly into the gaps, gluing them into place.
– Keep going until all of the coloured tubes have been glued on to make a rainbow arch between the two clouds.
– If you want to make the 3D rainbow even more three dimensional, glue some cotton wool balls onto the clouds.
– Finish off your 3D rainbow art by drawing on some birds flying in the sky.
