I am a HUGE Christmas fan. I love, love, love the creativity and craftiness that seems to grip the nation at this time of year. I adore the delicious foods and all the tasty sweet treats. I can’t resist a good Christmas song and admit to starting our carol singing as early as the beginning of November. Most of all I love the coming together of family and friends at this special time of year and the time we have for sharing and caring.
Something I do a lot with my children throughout the whole year is sing and make up songs. They are often very silly songs sung to familiar tunes. We might sing about big sister’s enormous burp or the cat sitting with its tongue hanging out. You name it and we’ve probably sung about it!
Well Christmas time is no exception and here’s a jolly little Christmas song for kids with actions. It’s about being Father Christmas (Santa Claus) and it’s sung to the tune of ‘I’m a Little Teapot’.
It’s a great Christmas song for kids to dress up to and can help children feel more relaxed about the idea of a big strange man in red coming into their house when they’re asleep. It can be quite a scary thought for some children!
