Grandparents Day Craft – How To Make Paper Plate Rosettes
Start by painting two paper plates for each rosette.
This Grandparents Day craft can be made in any colours you like so it’s a great opportunity to pick Grandma and Grandad’s favourite shades.
To make the largest bottom layer of your paper plate rosettes cut all around the edge of a plate.
To make the inner coloured layer of your paper plate rosettes trim off the outer ridged rim and cut strips all around the remaining circle.
To make your paper plate rosettes ribbons cut two lengths from the rim that you cut off in the previous stage and snip a little triangle out of the ends.
No Grandparents Day craft would be complete without a special message to your favourite Grandma or Grandpa! Simple cut a circle out of the middle of your third paper plate, snip around the edge and write a gorgeous message or draw a picture in the middle.
Now it’s time to put your Grandparents Day craft together. Simple glue the layers in place and then flip it over to glue the ribbons on the back. Finish off your paper plate rosette by taping a safety pin onto the back. Grandparents can show off to the world by wearing their rosette with pride!
