How To Make Brussels Sprout Christmas Ornaments
1 – To make your Brussels sprout Christmas decoration cut out two circles from green cardstock. (We used a light and dark green.) Cut one on the circles in half and then trim along the straight edges to make them wavy.
2 – Glue the two halves onto the circle to make the outer Brussels sprout leaves. Make sure to leave a gap in the middle to give your sprout a face.
3 – Bring your sprout ornament to life by gluing on some sticker eyes and drawing a cute smile.
4 – To make hats for your vegetable Christmas ornaments, simply cut a triangle from red cardstock. Fold over the top and glue on a white glitter pom pom.
5 – Glue the Santa hat to the top of your sprout.
6 – To hang your vegetable ornament on the Christmas tree, cut a glitter pipe cleaner in half and tape it to the back of the Brussels sprout to make a loop. I like to use pipe cleaners rather than thread because it makes the ornaments easier to hang up for little hands.
How To Make Carrot Christmas Ornaments
1 – The carrot ornament is even easier to make than the Brussels sprout. Start by cutting out a triangle from orange cardstock. Then snip of the sharp corners to make them slightly rounder.
2 – Glue on some sticker eyes and draw a happy smile.
3 – Make the hat and loop in the same way as you did for the sprout and glue the on to your carrot ornament.
Now your vegetable Christmas ornaments are ready to be hung on the tree! Do you think you’ll give it a go Or maybe design your own favourite vegetable decorations? Don’t fancy making your own? Maybe you’d like this needle felt set from Etsy instead
