I’m delighted to be working with Sellotape to bring you this special post of gift wrapping ideas today. This post is special because of the special children it’s all about!
This Christmas, Sellotape are donating gorgeous gifts for super special children at the Honeypot Children’s Charity; which is the only charity in the UK to provide respite breaks and outreach support to vulnerable children and young carers aged 5-12. The gifts from Sellotape are a wonderful way to give back to the special children who give so much every day!
I’ve been challenged to wrap two of these special gifts in a fun and creative way. To help me make these presents look as magical on the outside as they are on the inside, Sellotape sent me a fantastic collection of their products to use for my gift wrapping ideas. I can’t wait to show you the fun I had wrapping these presents! Let’s Share the Magic of Giving…!
Christmas Gift Wrapping Ideas 1 – Reindeer
The first gift I wrapped was an amazing telescope! Thinking of star gazing and Christmas got me thinking of Rudolf flying through the sky and I knew I just had to turn the first present into a jolly Reindeer. Sellotape’s Double Sided Tape and On Hand Decorative Tape made this Christmas gift wrapping idea a breeze.
To start off with I used plain brown paper to wrap the telescope and sprinkled some red shredded paper and gold glitter inside too to make it all the more exciting to open!
I used Sellotape’s Double Sided tape for all the sticking so everything looked really neat with no tape on show at all.
I left a triangle un-taped on both ends of the present. I concertinaed one end for the reindeer’s tail and added a fun holly sticker with a bell.
The other end I curled round and added a large red pom pom to for the Rudolf’s red nose!
Next came the antlers. These were so easy with Sellotape’s On Hand Decorative Tape. I simply cut out some antler shapes from cardboard and used the tape to wrap around bands of colour and pattern.
Finally I stuck the antlers in place with Double Sided Tape and added a pretty glitter ribbon.
All that was left to do was give the reindeer some legs! I cut them out of cardboard and used the Double Sided Tape to add some glitter hooves and stick them in place.
I added some eyes and another holly and bell sticker for the finishing touches. Fun gift wrapping ideas don’t have to be complicated. This is really simple to do and I think it looks so special!
Christmas Gift Wrapping Ideas 2 – Winter Woodland Scene
The second gift I had to wrap was an amazing toy guitar! The box was long and flat so I thought it would be a perfect base to create a little 3D scene on.
To start off with I sprinkled the guitar with some silver sequins and then wrapped it up in blue shiny paper using original Sellotape. Then I added a snowy border using the snowflake decorative tape.
Next I set about making some paper Christmas trees. I cut out some semicircles and either concertinaed them or rolled them to make little cone trees. I dressed these Christmas trees up with some more decorative tape and some mini pompoms.
I added a little tab to each tree and stuck them onto the present with double sided tape.
I was loving the decorative tape so much I decided to fold sections of it over some coloured thread and then snipped it into triangle shapes to make mini bunting.
I hung the bunting up between the trees, added some colourful streamer ribbon and a little 3D Snowman which you can read the full tutorial for here.
What an easy way to create a little 3D Christmas tree scene on top of a gift!
