Never one to shy away from a Christmas creative challenge I was delighted to jump on board with Turtle Mat’s fun festive competition for bloggers.
Armed with a gorgeous mat from Turtle Mats limited edition Christmas Collection I was challenged to set it up in my home to add to the Yuletide cheer.
I was sent the Winter Wonderland mat which I’d initially thought I’d use in our hallway to make a cosy and festive welcome for all our visitors. But when the mat arrived I though it was so pretty I couldn’t bear the thought of people wiping their feet on it, LOL! I know, I’m a complete nutter!
After Christmas it will go in the entrance hall and its nature theme means I’ll happily use it all year round. I’m actually looking forward to having a doormat that has such a great reputation for catching all the yuk off people’s feet and one that I can easily zip into the washing machine too.
Since we moved into the countryside and got ourselves our first proper garden I’m noticing a huge increase in the need to mop up muddy footprints. With winter and a new pet dog on the horizon I’m sure our Turtle mat will be put through its paces.
But I digress, back to the Christmas festivities…Our mat is so pretty and simply stylish that I’ve put it in front of our fireplace where it’s joined our Homemade Lanterns, Reindeer and Angels to make the Christmas hearth a focal point of warmth and cheer.
Our Christmas Hearth Decorations
The Nativity scene folk seem to have been making themselves very much at home on it too. What fun!
This is our entry to Turtle Mat’s festive decoration competition for bloggers. One lucky blogger will win a fab hamper just in time for Christmas. I’ve got my fingers crossed!
Merry Christmas everyone, have fun decorating!
(I was sent a Turtle Mat for the purpose of this competition, all opinions are my own.)
