Baa!!! Looking for a fun sheep craft for kids this spring? You’ve come to the right place! This WOOLLY SHEEP CRAFT is not only super cute, but it’s also really easy to make too. It has a wonderful woolly textured fleece coat, that is totally adorable!
Sheep and lambs are one of the most iconic animals of springtime and what could be more fun for kids than making their own woolly sheep to decorate the home or classroom?
These happy little sheep are so cute, why stop at just one? With a little bit of time and simple craft supplies you’ve probably got already, you could easily make a sweet sheep family or even a whole flock!
This woolly sheep craft is the perfect activity for kids this spring. When you’re done, your sheep or (flock of sheep!) will be ready to frolic about in the in the meadow! Baa!
Textured Woolly Sheep Craft For Kids
For this simple spring craft we’ve used white yarn on black paper but you can of course mix and match any colours you like.
Craft Supplies:
- Black Construction Paper or Card
- White Construction Paper or Card
- White Yarn
- Scissors
- Glue
- Marker Pen
- Wiggle Eyes
How To Make a Woolly Sheep
1 – To make the sheep’s body, cut out a circle from black paper and then scallop cut the edge.
2 – Next cut out a fat egg shape from white paper for the sheep’s head. Then cut two black ears and glue them on.
3 – Glue a strip of black paper onto a rectangle of white paper. Then cut the white paper into strips to make 4 sheep’s legs.
4. Glue the legs and head onto the body.
5 – To make the sheep’s wool, curl some white yarn around your finger three or four times.
6 – Apply a small circle of school glue onto the sheep’s body and put your wrapped yard onto it.
7 – Keep repeating this process until you’ve covered the sheep’s body.
8 – Finally draw a nose and smile onto the face and draw or stick on some eyes.
