For this post I’m working in a paid relationship with the British Fruit Juice Association on their #FruitJuiceBoost campaign. Discover the benefits of 100% fruit juice in your children’s diet.

As a busy working mum I am always looking for quick and easy ways to help ensure my children are getting their recommended portions of fruit and veg every day. Kids being kids it isn’t as simple as just serving it up on a plate and expecting them to happily munch it all down. Kids can be a fussy bunch can’t they?!

Have you tried a daily #FruitJuiceBoost for your kids? It's such an easy way to give them one of their recommended portions of fruit and vegetables every day. Here are my favourite ways to enjoy a serving of pure fruit juice every single day.

How Many Daily Portions Of Fruit and Veg Do Our Kids Need?

I think most of us consider it to be “five a day” but did you know that some of the latest nutrition research actually suggests that number should be a whopping ten! No pressure parents! *cough*

Keeping It Healthy and Keeping My Sanity!

Knowing my kids are getting 5 a day makes me feel good, knowing they are getting 10 a day makes me feel positively saintly!

I find a really easy way to tick off one portion each and every day of the week is to give my kids a delicious #FruitJuiceBoost; orange juice is their favourite, closely followed by apple. Pure fruit juice is an excellent addition to my kids’ healthy balanced diet and a single 150ml portion of pure fruit juice counts as one of their daily fruit portions.

Not only do my kids love the taste of pure fruit juice but it’s great knowing that a daily 150ml glass provides a massive 100% RDA of vitamin C! Vitamin C is essential for my children’s healthy immune system and by giving them fruit juice as part of a meal it can actually help to increase the absorption of iron-rich foods too. (You can find out more from the British Fruit Juice Association.) It’s a winner in my book and I can feel my halo starting to glow!

Juice Glorious Juice – Our Favourite Ways To Have a Daily #FruitJuiceBoost

I just love how easy it is to incorporate a daily 150ml of pure fruit juice into my kids’ diet. In fact it’s so easy I don’t actually have to think about it any more, it’s just become part of the natural family routine. Here are our three top ways to enjoy 150ml of pure fruit juice every single day.

Start The Day Off Right

Breakfast Is An Easy Way To Enjoy A #FruitJuiceBoost - Have you tried a daily #FruitJuiceBoost for your kids? It's such an easy way to give them one of their recommended portions of fruit and vegetables every day. Here are my favourite ways to enjoy a serving of pure fruit juice every single day.

One of the easiest ways we enjoy a daily #FruitJuiceBoost is by starting the day with a chilled glass of orange juice with the kids’ breakfasts. It’s such a lovely refresher in the morning and goes well with everything be it toast, croissants, cereal or eggs. It just seems to fit with every breakfast choice and it’s great to start the day off heading in the right direction to getting our five (or ten) a day.

On The Go

Sometimes family life seems so totally busy as we dash between home, school, work, playdates, clubs and sports! Pure fruit juice is a fabulous pick me up to grab in a hurry. I often use little mini cartons of pure orange juice for the after school run, and pour juice into sports bottles for my boys’ badminton club sessions.

Cooling Down

During the warmer Spring and Summer months my kids love to have frozen lollies but I tend not to buy them often because I worry about the colourings and sugar in them. A super healthy alternative to bought ice lollies is to make your own with your 150ml daily allowance of pure orange juice.

Homemade fruit juice lollies are so easy to make and the kids feel like they’re getting a real treat and it’s totally healthy! Sometimes we even chop up pieces of fruit to pop in the juice too for a double boost of goodness! What a fun way to enjoy a #FruitJuiceBoost.
