These paper bag vampire puppets are best made with white paper bags but don’t worry if you only have brown paper bags. If so, simply cover the front and base of your bag with white paper before you follow the step by step instructions below.
How to Make a Vampire Halloween Paper Bag Puppet
Dracula Craft Supplies:
Vampire Paper Bag Puppet Instructions
1 – To make your vampire’s jacket, cut a rectangle of black construction paper the same size as the front of your white paper bag. Then remove a triangle from the top to make the neck line. Use the photo above as a guide.
2 – Turn the paper bag upside down and glue the jacket onto the front.
3 – Now cut a short wide triangle to make Dracula’s hair and glue it on.
4 – Use your 1 inch circle hole puncher to make three white paper buttons and glue them to the front of the vampire’s jacket.
5 – Cut a semi circle of red paper to make Dracula’s mouth and glue it under the folded paper bag base. Glue on two white fangs so that he can suck blood! Then use your black Sharpie pen to draw on some beady eyes!
6 – Dracula vampires like to look smart so make a bow tie by cutting the shape out of black paper and then a smaller one out of red paper.
7 – Glue the two pieces of bow tie together and attach them to the vampire puppet under his mouth.
8 – Finally cut out a large red triangle to make Dracula’s cape and glue it onto the back of the paper bag.
Now you can put your put your hand inside the paper bag vampire puppet to bring him to life! Be careful though! He’ll want to suck your blood! What a fun Halloween craft for kids!
