Create Make Share is back for month 2 and boy has it been fun looking at the wonderful creations you all linked up for last month’s theme of Christmas. There were some truly beautiful and inspiring ideas from right across the crafting community.
For my featured crafters I’ve decided to focus on homemade gifts for kids. As parents I think we get our kids involved with crafting and creating gifts for others all the time, but we often forget or neglect the idea that we can craft gifts for them too. We don’t have to buy into the commercialisation of Christmas when it comes to our kids!

Fantastic Gifts To Make For Kids
- I’ve picked out these adorable Sugar Mice from Thinly Spread. I don’t think a childhood is complete with a sugar mouse or two and these homemade ones look so cute!
- Next up is a delightful Crochet Doll from Mama Smiles. Bought dolls are often made from hard plastic which hardly inspires cuddles! These soft and tactile dolls are sure to bring out the nurturing side of your little ones.
- This Snowman Soup and Reindeer Poo from Growing Spaces is so much fun! To be honest I think kids and grown ups would enjoy these.
- Lastly there are these Homemade Marshmallows from Gathered Threads. I am totally in awe of these and am going to be giving this recipe a try. I attempted homemade marshmallows once years ago and ended up in a terribly sticky mess. I obviously didn’t have the right recipe!

There will be a theme each month. You don’t have to follow it, but Anthea, Heather and I will pick our favourite posts that have used the theme, so it’s worth checking what that month’s theme is. We’ll share our favourites on our blogs, across our social media, and also add them to our Create Make Share Pinterest board.
It will be so lovely to share other people’s ideas with you all. I’m super excited!
