How To Make Cute Christmas Pencil Toppers
I’ll start by showing you how we made the trees as these are the easiest of the two Christmas Pencil Toppers and a great project to start with.
Using the photograph above as a guide wrap the end of the pipe cleaner around the pencil a couple of times to secure it on. Then fold the remaining pipe cleaner in a zig zag, making each section smaller than the last. We were able to get 7 folds out of our 12″ pipe cleaners.
Then we squashed the folds closer together and used quick drying UHU glue to fix some coloured buttons on as baubles. Ta dah! How super simple was that Christmas pencil topper to make?

These cute Reindeer Christmas Pencil Toppers are a little trickier, so take your time with your first one and use the photos as a guide. You’ll soon get the hang of it and if you have any questions just ask in the comments section below.
Using the left side of photo above as a guide gently fold the pipe cleaner in half but don’t crease the fold because you’ll want it rounded to make the reindeer’s nose. Then cross over the ends to make a loop and twist them together to hold the loop in place.
Using the right side of the photo as a guide fold the pipe cleaner outwards for 1cm and then back in for 1cm and leave the remaining pointing up. This makes the reindeer’s ears.
Using the left side of the photo above as a guide, put your pencil end between the two ears and twist the pipe cleaners together behind it. This will make a hole for the Christmas pencil topper to be slid on and off the pencil.
Looking at the right hand photo, cut off the top third of the remaining pipe cleaner and twist it on to the uprights to make a reindeer antler and repeat on the other side.
Glue on your googly eyes and red nose and your Reindeer Christmas Pencil Toppers are finished! Aren’t they adorable! Now you now how to make them they are easy to put together in just a few minutes. Wouldn’t these make great little gifts for friends?
