We love these easy origami Reindeer Corner Bookmarks. It’s a great first origami project for little hands to enjoy this Christmas and a great way to encourage a love of reading too!
These paper Christmas bookmarks are really easy to make and we think they’d be perfect as little gifts to give to friends and teachers too.
Once kids have made their Rudolf Reindeer corner bookmark they’ll be able to use the same method to come up with their own designs too!
We’ve already made some unicorn and llama bookmarks using the same technique and will try to write them up into full tutorials for you to see really soon.
You could even use these Christmas bookmarks as tree ornaments too. My eldest son made a few and then taped on loops of ribbon and hung them on the Christmas tree! They sure did look cute!

How To Make Easy Origami Reindeer Bookmarks
1 – Start with a square of brown paper and cut it in half to make two rectangles.
2 – Use one rectangle for each paper reindeer bookmark. Start by folding the rectangle in half lengthways.
3 – Then fold it in half widthways to make the centre line and open it up again.
4 – Take one side and fold it along the centre line so that it is pointing downwards.
5 – Repeat with the other side.
6 – Fold about a third of each flat ends upwards.
7 – Fold the corners of each flat end over about 1 cm. You are actually making an origami heart!
8 – Now we’re going to turn your origami heart into a Christmas reindeer bookmark! Start by gluing on the wiggle eyes, the red pom pom nose and drawing a smile.
9 – Cut some yellow paper antlers and an ear for your reindeer. We used two different styles you can see in the finished photos.
10 – Glue the antlers onto the back of the reindeers head and the ear onto the front.
Now you can pop your origami reindeer onto the corner of your book. Such a cute and easy Christmas bookmark craft for kids.
