Use Fork Painting To Make A Cute Hedgehog Craft
Whether you are making a Hedgehog Valentine craft or just enjoying the cuteness of these prickly friends at any time of year, everyone will agree that these spiky hedgehogs are super adorable!
Supplies:
- Free Printable Hedgehog Craft Template (Get yours at the bottom of this page.)
- Paint
- Fork
- Marker Pen
- Scissors
- Glue
(You could also add your own embellishments to your hedgehogs too. such as, wiggle eyes or bio glitter on the hearts.)
How to Fork Paint A Hedgehog
1 – Download and print the free hedgehog craft template (Available at the bottom of this page.)
2 – On the body outline template, use a fork to paint on quills around the edge. (We left a space at the bottom free from quills, for the hedgehog’s feet to go.)
3 – While your fork painting is drying, decide which body you are going to use. There is a ready coloured option and a black and white option that you can colour in.
4 – Carefully colour in and cut out the template pieces.
5 – Line the hedgehog’s body up with the body outline and glue it on.
6 – Decide where you want to put your Valentine heart. Your hedgehog could hold it like the photo above. Or you could make a heart balloon, like in the photo below.
7 – Glue the heart and hedgehog’s arms in your chosen position. If you’ve made a balloon, then draw on a string too.
8 – Finish off your Fork Painted Hedgehog Craft by drawing on a happy smile.
We’ve used thisFork Painted Hedgehog as a Valentine craft because it’s holding a love heart, But it would be cute to use all year round.
If you prefer you could leave the heart out altogether, or even cut out something else for your hedgehog to hold depending on the season. How about an egg at Easter or a shamrock leaf for St Patrick’s Day for example?
