How To Make A Halloween Black Cat Wreath Craft
Grab your paper plates and let’s make some fun Halloween decorations. We used ready coloured black paper plates to make our witches cats but if you want to paint white ones instead that’s fine. Just paint them and give them time to dry before you follow the instructions below.
To Make Black Cat Halloween Wreaths You Will Need:
- Black Paper Plates
- Black, White, Yellow and Green Construction Paper
- White Pipe Cleaners
- Black Sharpie Pen
- Ribbon
- Scissors
- Glue
- Sticky Tape
Directions To Make Your Paper Plate Halloween Black Cat Craft
1 – Carefully cut out the centre of your black paper plate without cutting through the outer rim.
2 – To make the cat wreath’s face cut out two large triangle ears from black construction paper and two small triangle inner ears from yellow construction paper. Cut a small yellow nose and two green eyes. Colour the eye pupils black with your marker pen.
3 – Twist together three 6 inch / 15 cm white pipe cleaners to make your cat’s whiskers.
4 – Glue the eyes, nose, ears and whiskers onto the inner circle of the paper plate. If you want to you can cut a small white mouth too but younger children may need some help with this because it’s a bit small and fiddly.
5 – Cut a large bushy spiked tail from black construction paper. Ours was about 12 inches / 30 cm long.
6 – To make the black cat crafts paws cut two small circles from black paper and some white claws.
7 – Stick the claws behind the black circle paws so they poke out.
8 – Now you can construct your Halloween Black Cat Wreath craft. Decide where you want to position the head, paws and tail and glue them into place on the outer rim of the paper plate.
9 – To hang your black cat Halloween wreath up on the door you’ll need a ribbon. Flip the wreath over and sticky tape a loop of ribbon onto the back at the top.
Now you can display your black cat craft on the door, wall or window. Such a fun and easy Halloween wreath craft for kids.
