How To Make Paper Lavender Flowers Step By Step
– To make the stems for your paper lavender flowers cut a strip of green paper approximately 8 x 2 inches. Starting at a corner roll the paper tightly diagonally.
– Continue to roll the green paper until you reach the other end. Apply a dab of glue to keep your flower stem rolled.
– Use the printable template (get your at the bottom of this post) and cut out two pieces of crepe paper.
– To make the smallest lavender flower petals cut a fringe all along one side of the small piece of crepe paper. Make sure you don’t cut all the way through!
– To make the larger lavender petals glue along one length of the large tapered piece of crepe paper.
– Fold the crepe paper in half lengthways and glue together. Cut a fringe all along the folded side. If you really want to add authenticity to your finished homemade paper flowers then make the cuts smaller at the narrow end and bigger at the wider end.
– Now your lavender flower petals are ready to be attached to your flower stem. Starting with the smaller fringe, glue all along the uncut side and wrap it tightly around the paper stem slowly moving downwards as you go.
– When the small fringe is stuck on repeat the same process with the large fringe. Remember to start with the narrow end.
– Trace the leaf pattern from the free printable template on to your green craft paper and cut it out. Glue the lavender leaves around the stem below the flower.
Now your paper lavender flowers are ready for playing with or for popping into a vase or glueing onto a greetings card. Aren’t they lovely!
