Spring Flowers Step-By-Step Directions
1 – Start by cutting out your flower petals. You can keep them all the same or cut different shapes for each flower. We chose to use lots of different colors too!
2 – Next, cut a small paper circle for the middle of each flower and stick a petal to the back.
3 – Keep gluing on petals all around the centre of the flower.
4 – To make your flower stems cut thin strips of paper. Its fun to use lots of color!
5 – Then, glue one end of the paper strip to the top of the paper straw and wrap and wrap it all the way down. When you get the the end of the strip glue it in place.
6 – Repeat until you’ve covered the straw from top to bottom.
7 – Finally, glue the flower head to the top of the straw stem.
8 – If you wanted to you could also cut some simple leaf shapes from green construction paper and glue them on too. Another great idea that older kids might like is to make some leaves from green pipe cleaners. Then they can be twisted onto the stem.
No more waiting for the first flowers of the season! Now you can make your own!
I hope you enjoy this fun craft as much as we do. It’s a great project for this exciting time of year!
