1 – Download and print your free printable templates. (Get yours at the bottom of this post.)
We printed ours straight onto autumn coloured cardstock but if you prefer you can print them out on plain paper cut them out and draw around them using them as a stencil.
2 – There are two leaf templates per page with six to choose from altogether. Cut your page in half and cut out the leaf shape from the middle. Be sure to leave the frame whole as you’ll be using that bit to frame your yarn wrapping.
3 – Cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than your leaf frame.
4 – Enjoy yarn wrapping around your white cardstock in lots of different colours. (This is such a great fall craft idea to use up yarn scraps!)
Secure the start and end of your yarn pieces with sticky tape on the back of your white cardstock.
5 – Apply glue all around the edge of your yarn wrapping. A runny glue you can squeeze on like UHU is easiest.
6 – Lay your leaf craft frame on top of your yarn wrapping and push down gently to secure it into place.
Now you can put your leaf art on display for all to enjoy!
