Handprint crafts are always lovely to do with the kids and make great keepsakes that we can enjoy over the years as we watch their little hands grow. I’ve called this bat craft “Halloween Bats” but they can of course be enjoyed at anytime of the year and would be a great little craft to use when learning about nocturnal animals or working on a dark nights theme.
I love how cheeky and cute these Halloween Bats look don’t you? It’s a quick and easy craft that uses very little resources so it’s cheap and easy for kids of all ages to enjoy.

How To Make Halloween Bats – Handprint Craft
These cute little bats are so easy to make! Children place their hand on the card stock, spread their fingers and thumb and draw around them. The fingers become the Halloween Bat’s wings and their thumb becomes the bat’s ear.
Then repeat with the other hand overlapping the palm on top of the palm already drawn to make the bat’s body shape. Then cut the bat out.
All that’s left to do is make the Halloween Bat’s cute little features. We stuck on googly eyes and used our acrylic paint to draw on a cheeky smile and some fangs. You could add on some glitter or any other decorations you fancy.
There’s lots of different ways to use this Halloween Bat handprint craft. They look adorable as decorations hanging on a string from the ceiling or pinned to the wall. You can use them to make super cute bat greeting cards or party invitations. And how about hanging them from a little stick on a piece of elastic to make a cute Halloween Bat toy that the kids can fly around and play with?
