This wonderful set of printable Halloween simple bookmarks for kids to colour are a sure way to bring story time to life in true spooky style!
Craft supplies to make Halloween bookmarks:
- Free Printable Halloween Bookmarks. ( Get your free pdf file at the bottom of this post.)
- White Cardstock
- Colouring Pens, Pencils etc.
- Scissors
1 – The first step is to download the collection of different halloween bookmarks and print them onto white card stock paper. (You could just use paper but cardstock will make them a bit more sturdy and long lasting.)
2 – Next, kids can have so much fun decorating the paper bookmarks any way they choose. Use pens, pencils, wax crayons or any thing else you fancy. Why not embellish them with sparkly Halloween coloured bio glitter? Purple, black and orange would look great.
3 – Now you can carefully use scissors to cut out the different Halloween bookmarks. (This is great for developing fine motor skills.)
4 – If you want to use the bookmark to simply slide between the pages of your book, you can start using them straightaway. If however, you want the bookmarks to slot over the top of your book pages there is a last step. You will need to carefully cut around the middle section without cutting through the edge. (You might want a grown up to do this part.) This will leave you with a narrow flap to slot over your page.
5 – Now all you need to do is curl up with a good book and enjoy your Halloween reading adventures! Why not make a different bookmark for each of your favourite Halloween books?
