These popsicle stick bats really are super easy to make but to make it even easier there’s a free printable bat template too. Be warned this is just a rough sketch, so don’t expect anything fancy, but it will help if you’re not confident about drawing the bat wing shapes yourself. This is a fun and easy Halloween craft for kids of all ages, and it’s a great way to recycle old popsicle sticks. You can hang your bats from the ceiling, pop them on the wall or stick them to the front of Halloween cards.

Popsicle Stick Halloween Bat Craft
To make your popsicle stick bat, you’ll need:
- Free Sketched Bat Template
- Popsicle Sticks
- Black Acrylic Paint
- Paper Scraps: Yellow, Black, Pink, white
- Scissors
- Glue
How To Make Popsicle Stick Bats
1 – To make the bat’s body, lay four popsicle sticks side by side and glue them together. Reinforce by glueing two popsicle stick halves crossways onto the back.
2 – Paint the bat’s body with black acrylic paint. We love acrylic because you only need one coat.
3 – To make all the features for your bat either print the sketched template or draw your own. You need bats wings, eyes, fangs and a mouth.
4 – Trace the template shapes onto coloured paper. We used black for the wings and inner eyes, yellow for the outer eyes, pink for the mouth and white for the fangs.
5 – Cut out all the bat features.
6 – Finally all you need to do is simply glue them to the bat’s body!
Your popsicle stick bat is now ready to hang from the ceiling or stick to the wall! Happy Halloween!
