We are huge Halloween fans in this house. I just love all the Halloween crafts to make with the kids and the fun spooky themed food like Lollipop Spiders, Moldy Booger Scones and Chocolate Ghosts!
In preparation for a Halloween party this year we’ve been trying out a new idea for Halloween Spider Pizza!
LOL, I both love and hate these Halloween Spider Pizzas at the same time! I’m not a huge fan of real spiders so looking at these spider pizzas has me swinging along the spectrum of “Oh that’s so cute” to “Shudder” he, he!
Aren’t these spider pizza just perfect for Halloween? The method is super easy and whether you are making a big Halloween spider pizza with lots of little spiders on it, or mini individual spider pizzas, everyone is sure to love them and they’ll be Halloween treats you’ll make again and again, year after year.

How To Make Halloween Spider Pizza
Large Halloween Spider Pizza For Sharing
For ease and speed we used ready made margarita pizza from the supermarket but you could make up your own with your favourite recipe if you prefer. Ready made are great when you’re busy and in a hurry like prepping for a Halloween party! I always grate on more cheese though to make them a bit more lush.
To make the little spiders on the top we cut black olives in half to make the bodies and sliced them lengthways into thin segments to make the spider legs.
Individual Mini Halloween Spider Pizzas
To make the small round pizzas we used a round cookie cutter to cut out the spider bodies.
Then we chopped up green and orange peppers to make the spider legs and pushed the ends into the pizza base. We added a spoon of shredded cheese on top which helps “glue” the legs in place when it melts. To make the spider eyes we sliced black olives widthways to give fun round shapes, perfect for cute and staring spiders.
A top tip is to construct your pizzas directly on to baking trays so they don’t fall apart when you’re moving them. Once they’re ready bake them according to the manufacturer’s instructions, normally only about 8-12 minutes.
The children have loved these Halloween Spider Pizzas, they have just the right amount of gruesomeness for kids, taste super good and are fabulously fast to make and great for the kids to help with too. Will you be trying these as Halloween treats too?
