We love making hats here on Kids Craft Room. We’ve got lots of hat crafts that are great for autumn. Some of our favourites are Bat Hats, Owl Hats, Reindeer Hats, Fox Hats, Apple Tree Hats and today we are adding this new super cute HEDGEHOG HAT CRAFT to our collection.
Kids will adore making and wearing these cute Hedgehog Hats. It’s a lovely cut and stick autumn craft and is perfect for hibernation, nocturnal and woodland animal study themes all year round too.

The printable hedgehog hat template comes in a choice of ready coloured and also black and white which children can enjoy colouring in and decorating themselves.
As we are all crafting with children of different ages and abilities, the template includes the choice of a cut and stick hedgehog head and also a ready made head to suit the needs of different children.

How To Make A Hedgehog Hat Craft
Hedgehog Crown Craft Supplies:
- Printable Hedgehog Hat Template
- Printer Cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue
- Marker pen
- Stapler
- Optional: Colouring pens/pencils/paints etc.
Let’s Make Hedgehog Crowns!
1 – Download and print your hedgehog hat template onto printer card. Choose the coloured or black and white version and choose the ready made head or the cut and stick head.
2 – Colour in your template. We used felt tip marker pens but you could use pencil crayons, paints, wax crayons etc.
3 – Cut out the hedgehog template pieces.
4 – Glue the round ears onto the back of the face. (If you are using the ready made head jump to step 8.)
5 – Stick the eyes, cheeks and nose onto the face and draw a smile.
6 – Glue the finished face onto the spiky head.
7 – Glue the finished head onto the middle of a headband piece.
8 – Staple the back headband piece onto the front headband piece to make a wearable loop. Measure it around your head to get a good fit. (If you need a larger loop use the headband extension piece.)
