How To Make Peeps Edible Microwave Puffy Paint
1 – It’s super easy to make your Peeps Edible Puffy Paint. We’d recommend making just one colour at a time as your need it. Start by putting a Peep Marshmallow Candy into a microwave safe bowl and cooking it for just 10 seconds. The Peep should expand and puff up to double its size. (Be careful it may be hot!)
2 – Use the popsicle stick to stir the heated Peeps candy. You should be able to blend it all together easily but if the marshmallow hasn’t fully melted pop it back into the microwave for 5 seconds.
3 – Your Peeps edible puffy paint is ready when it’s mixed to a smooth and tacky consistency and it’s a safe temperature to touch. Children can paint with a brush or their fingers for an extra sensory element. It’s perfect for decorating our free Easter printable colouring sheet. (Grab yours below.)
4 – As the Peeps Puffy Paint cools down it will begin to set and get tricky to paint with. Simply pop it back into the microwave for five seconds to re-soften it. (Remember to make sure it’s at a safe temperature before offering it to the children.)
5 – When you’re ready for a second puffy paint colour repeat steps 1-4.
I’m sure your children will have loads of fun creating with and no doubt having a sneaky taste of this Peeps Edible Puffy Paint recipe! What fun for Spring!
