How To Make a gorgeous Baby Jesus Wreath For Christmas
Celebrate the Christmas season with this nativity wreath craft.
It’s a simple, fun, and faith-filled activity for kids and families. This lovely Christmas wreath craft serves as a beautiful reminder of the true joy and meaning of Jesus’ birth.
Craft Supplies:
- Printable Baby Jesus Wreath Template (pdf file also available in our TPT store)
- Printer Cardstock or White Paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Ribbon
- Sticky Tape
- Optional: Colouring Materials, Pens, Pencils etc.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1 – Download the printable Baby Jesus Wreath template. Print it onto printer cardstock. (You can use white paper if you prefer.)
If you are using the black and white template colour in the pattern pieces.
Step 2 – Cut out the outer circle of the blue Baby Jesus wreath. Then cut the inner circle of the wreath, by cutting through the black line at the bottom. Continue to cut out all of the other template pieces.
Step 3 – Cut along all the strips of the hay up to the dotted fold line.
Step 4 – Turn the hay over, printed side down, and glue it to the back of the manger so that the hay strips poke out of the top.
Step 5 – Fold over the hay strips.
Step 6 – To make Baby Jesus, chose a skin coloured face and glue it on. (There are 6 multicultural skin tones to choose from.) Then draw on a face and some lines to make a swaddling blanket.
Step 7 – Glue the edge of Baby Jesus onto the back of the manger.
Step 8 – Stick the manger onto the bottom of the wreath to cover the cut line you made in step 2.
Step 9 – Glue the big yellow star onto the top of the wreath. You can position it left, right or centre.
Step 10 – Finally, cut a short strip of ribbon and sticky tape it to the back of the wreath at the top.
Step 11 – Now put your Baby Jesus Wreath on display for all to enjoy! It makes a beautiful christmas decoration to hang on any door!
