Are your kids beginning to feel the Olympics excitement? Mine definitely are and this Olympic Craft Kids Necklace is perfect for boys and girls to make in the run up to the big sporting event.
My kids first got hooked on the Olympics back in 2012 when they were totally awestruck and inspired by Usain Bolt’s amazing sprints. I lost count of the 100 meter races I had to run with them around that time, it was exhausting LOL!
Well needless to say they can’t wait for the Olympics to start again and no doubt I shall have to dig out my trainers as they mark out a track and challenge me to do all sorts of sporting events with them. I need a sit down and rest just thinking about it! I think an Olympic craft or two is much more my cup of tea!

How To Make A Kids Necklace Olympic Craft
Polymer clay is a great way to introduce kids to jewellery making. I LOVE Sculpey and Fimo, they both come in a great range of colours perfect for this olympic craft and are easy to use and bake consistently well without the colours dulling.
To make an Olympic Rings Necklace take a marble sized piece of polymer clay in each of the Olympic colours; blue, black, red, yellow and green. Then roll each one out into a thin sausage, keeping the thicknesses fairly even and trim them all to the same length.
Then one at a time interlock them into loops following the order of the Olympic Rings logo.
Once all five Olympic rings colours are interlocked your Kids Necklace Olympic Craft is ready for baking to make it go hard.
Careful transfer the Olympics Rings design onto a baking tray and take a minute to spread the coloured hoops out as evenly and neatly as you can. Then bake it according to the instructions on your particular polymer clay packet.
Finish off your Olympic craft by tying on some colourful elastic thread to make a kids necklace that they’ll love to wear throughout the olympic games. You could even make an Olympic Rings Bracelet too just by using a shorter piece of elastic.
This Olympic craft for kids is quick and easy and a great way for kids to show their support and enthusiasm for all the amazing athletes involved.
