This printable 3D Christmas Tree Advent Calendar is such a fun way to count down to Christmas Day! For each day of advent children can glue a bauble onto the tree to cover up the date. By the time Christmas arrives you’ll have a beautifully decorated paper Christmas tree.
The printable Christmas tree template has two styles of tree which can be used to match the cutting ability of the user. One tree has more detailed zig zag edges and a star topper. The other tree has simple straight edges and a circle topper.
Both printable advent calendar Christmas tree templates come in full colour and also black and white which children can colour in themselves. They also come with paper disc baubles but you can also use buttons or pompoms if you prefer.
These Christmas tree advent calendars are so bright and colourful. They’ll look lovely as a table centrepiece or as decorations for your mantlepiece or windowsill.

- Printer Cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue
- Optional: colouring pens/pencils
- Optional: pompoms/buttons
How To Make A Christmas Advent Calendar
1 – Choose your 3D Christmas tree advent calendar template and print it onto cardstock. The thicker the card the more robust the Christmas tree. We used 160gsm.
2 – Cut out the template pieces. You will have 4 trees (x2 A and x2 B) and 2 toppers. (If you are using a B/W template colour it in leaving the number circles plain.)
3 – Glue the two A trees together back to back. (They both have a line from the bottom to the middle) Repeat for the two B trees. (They both have lines from top to middle)Repeat for the toppers.
4 – Cut slits down the trees’ centre lines to the middle.
5 – Slot the two trees together using the slits you cut in step 4.
6 – Follow the mid line to cut a short slit in the topper. Slide it onto the top of the tree and glue into place.
7 – For every day of advent cut out and glue a coloured disk on to the corresponding date. You could also glue on buttons or pom poms if you prefer.
