Turkey Hat Craft Tutorial
(Please note the turkey hats in the photographs are made with the addition of wiggle eyes but paper eyes are included in the template if you prefer.)
Supplies To Make Thanksgiving Turkey Hats:
- Printable Turkey Hat Templates
- Coloured Cardstock
- Optional: Googly Eyes
- Glue
- Scissors
- Stapler
How To Make A Thanksgiving Turkey Hat Craft
1 – Print the turkey hat template.
2 – Either trace the template on to colored card, color it in or use the ready colored template. Cut the pieces out.
3 – Loop the two headband pieces together and staple them into place.
4 – Use the template to cut out lots of different coloured turkey tail feathers. To make it quicker and easier if you are tracing around your template, you can stack the coloured card and cut through multiple layers at the same time.
5 – Fan the turkey tail feathers out and staple them together.
6 – Glue the tail feathers into the inside of the turkey hat at the back.
7 – Glue the eyes, snood and beak on to the turkey head.
8 – Accordion fold the turkey legs and glue the feet onto the ends.
9 – Glue the head onto the Thanksgiving turkey hat craft.
10 – Glue the legs onto the lower inside front of the hat. Position them quite wide so that they don’t hang in front of your eyes.
