Simply print the free files onto white paper or white cardstock (for a sturdier build). Then with just a pair of scissors, a glue stick, and some colouring pencils, kids will be able to make their own little DIY paper houses in no time! No need for a fancy cutting machine or Cricut machine here!

Light Up Your Paper Christmas Village
Your paper Christmas village will be a wonderful way to decorate the mantlepiece, shelf or table just as it is. However, if you fancy going all out for special occasions why not illuminate it too?
Get an adult to use a craft knife on a cutting mat to cut out the windows. You could glue coloured tissue paper to the back too if you fancy. The next step is simply to add a few battery LED tea lights behind the houses to make them glow with warmth and holiday cheer!
If you really want to go the whole hog, you could add a sprinkling of fake snow or bio glitter too!
Cute Printable Christmas Village Craft For Kids
You will need the following craft supplies:
- Free Printable Paper Christmas Village Templates (Get your free files by filling in the form at the bottom of this tutorial)
- White Card Stock (You could use paper if you prefer)
- Glue Stick or Double-Sided Tape
- Scissors
- Colouring Materials – Pens Pencils etc.
How To Make a DIY Paper Christmas Village
Step 1 – Print the free colouring pages onto white cardstock or paper.
Step 2 – Have fun colouring the houses, church and any other design pieces you’d like.
Step 3 – Carefully follow the cut lines (dashed lines) to cut out the paper houses and other template pieces.
Step 4 – Using a straight edge, fold along the fold lines to make tabs.
Step 5 – Glue the tabs on the cardboard houses and mount them onto a base piece of cardstock to make your village. You can put the pieces in lots of different positions to create your own unique winter village.
