- White Cardstock
- Colouring Pens, Pencils etc.
- Scissors

How To Make A Monster Craft
1 – Start by downloading the free monster printable activity. (Get yours at the bottom of the page.) Then print out the sheets you want. There are 18 to choose from.
2 – If you are going to color in the free printables then I’d recommend doing that before cutting out the body parts. This is the perfect time for kids to let their imaginations run wild! Your monster body parts can be any color you like. Why not experiment with spotty or stripy monsters too?
3 – Cut out the all the monster body parts you want to use. This is a great way to develop kids’ fine motor skills.
4 – Building your monster is a really fun and easy activity. Start by choosing your monster’s body and then paste on the body parts in your own way.
The best part of this build a monster craft is that there’s no right or wrong way to do it. Kids can just immerse themselves in the joy of crafting knowing that their monster will turn out monstrously good and totally unique!
Monster Craft Variations
You don’t just have to use the ready colored monster sheets and just color in the black and white sheets. There are lots of different ways to add a little bit of pizzazz to your creatures!
How about gluing on some pom poms, pipe cleaners, glitter, buttons, googly eyes or any other favorite things from your craft supplies?
If there is a body part shape that you want that isn’t on the printable craft template, kids can have tons of fun drawing their own onto card stock or construction paper. After all, there’s no right or wrong way to build a monster!
And finally, what about making some monster puppets? Simple sticky tape craft sticks onto the back to make a handle. Kids could have fun creating a monster theme puppet show! This would be such a fun activity for the Halloween spooky season.
